Principal responsibilities…

  • Managing multiple design and development projects, ranging from initial concept, product definition, design & development, and transfer to manufacture
  • Leading and working with the project teams to solve challenging design, mechanical engineering, electronics, and software challenges
  • As a Senior, providing programme management activities for large client accounts and client partnerships
  • As a Senior, overseeing other members of the Project Management team to deliver on projects under these partnerships
  • Ensuring goals are met in areas including customer satisfaction, safety, quality and team member performance
  • Managing timelines, budgets and risks
  • As a Senior, managing, allocating and approving resource for projects, and managing interdependences between projects

Skills we’re looking for...

  • A project management track-record gained within a highly technical and team-oriented environment
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with experience of formal project reporting

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills – articulate and diplomatic manner

Being part of the Human Factors and Usability team, you will be leading a range of exciting projects across all phases of development, involving activities such as Human Factors studies, use-related risk management and building up a regulatory compliant HFE file. You will be working with both global medical clients and internal project teams on developing safe and usable medical devices, ensuring that user needs are considered early and continuously throughout the design process. As a Graphic Designer you’ll be responsible for:

  • The full project lifecycle – from brief and determining requirements
  • Demonstrate solid graphic design best practice
  • Creating a range of exciting design options that meet the requirements
  • Articulating and presenting your thoughts and ideas to teams internally and client teams externally
  • Working collaboratively with Crux team members (product designers, engineers, usability experts, business development....)
  • Staying on track with emerging graphical trends and culture

What we'd like to see:

  • A portfolio that demonstrates versatility with, ideally, examples of technical illustrations, instructions, reports...
  • Agency or in-house experience is preferable, however, if you're a fresh grad with raw talent, passion and drive then we'd love to hear from you
  • An online portfolio showcasing considered, appropriate visual and digital executions
  • Expertise in all things Adobe Creative Suite from static to dynamic visuals and motion graphics. Building prototypes in XD or equivalent would be good to see 
  • Knowledge/understanding of HTML and CSS can be beneficial but is not essential
  • Proven understanding of typography, layout, colour and grid structures
  • Superb attention to detail

Years of experience are not a prerequisite. Instead, it is all about your creative and design capability and demonstrable experience. The types of project size you’ve worked on, your knowledge of emerging trends and the fundamentals of graphic design are key.
