  • Managing multiple design and development projects, ranging from initial concept, product definition, design & development, and transfer to manufacture
  • Leading and working with the project teams to solve challenging design, mechanical engineering, electronics, and software challenges
  • Providing programme management activities for large client accounts and client partnerships
  • Overseeing other members of the Project Management team to deliver on projects under these partnerships
  • Ensuring goals are met in areas including customer satisfaction, safety, quality and team member performance
  • Managing timelines, budgets and risks
  • Managing, allocating and approving resource for projects, and managing interdependences between projects
  • Managing relationships with our clients, building trust and collaboration

  • Experience working to ISO 13485 and ISO 14971, or to the equivalent regulations and requirements of the FDA
  • A project management track-record gained within a highly technical and team-oriented environment
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with experience of formal project reporting
  • Ability to communicate ideas and work flexibly within a dynamic, multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills – articulate and diplomatic manner
  • Experience of planning tasks and defining project scope, goals and deliverables

In this full time role, you will be managing the front of house experience for our clients and visitors, providing a friendly, welcoming and professional first impression for our business, managing incoming calls and handling incoming/outgoing deliveries. Helping the team with general administrative duties will also make up a large part of the role including managing office supplies and assisting with ad hoc tasks.

On occasion, you will also be required to assist with the logistics and running of user research and human factor studies as part of our design and development projects.

Principal responsibilities...

  • Greeting visitors, being professional and friendly (client/visitor experience)
  • Building a rapport with regular visitors and clients
  • Arranging meetings and ordering catering as required
  • Answering the telephone, transferring calls and taking accurate messages
  • Sorting and distributing incoming mail
  • Arranging outgoing mail and parcel delivery
  • Providing flexible support to a dynamic team to help ensure smooth running of the office
  • Ensuring office and studio supplies are maintained
  • Complete simple maintenance tasks eg coffee machine
  • Ad hoc. research
  • Assisting in the arrangement and scheduling of building maintenance
  • Support the arrangement of human factor research schedules and documentation and participant visitors
  • Ad-hoc cleaning and tidying in client facing areas to maintain high standards

What we're looking for...

  • Minimum 2 years general office administration, reception or customer service experience
  • 5+ GCSEs grade 9-6 (A-C)
  • Experience using Microsoft applications, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams
  • Enthusiastic, friendly and professional manner
  • Great customer service skills, remaining approachable and calm at all times
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Confident to use own initiative and ability to juggle priorities
  • Quick learner and an appetite to pick up new skills and technologies
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Adaptable problem solver with a “can do” attitude

Desirable, but not essential...

  • Experience of SAP ByDesign or other ERP systems would be advantageous
  • Experience working with ISO 9001 and/or ISO 13485 Quality Management Systems
  • Experience working within a consulting environment

Crux Product Design is an ambitious, growing consultancy looking for a new member to join our Finance team in Bristol.

In this role, reporting to our Financial Controller, you will support in providing the business with accurate and up to date financial information.  On any given day you could be invoicing, budgeting, managing transactions, preparing reports, completing bank reconciliations or investigating potential system improvements.

Your day-to-day duties and responsibilities may include any of the following:

  • Updating and reconciling financial ledgers
  • Assisting with the preparation of annual budgets
  • Researching and resolving discrepancies in a timely fashion
  • Preparing financial documents such as purchase orders and sales invoices
  • Maintenance of fixed asset register and monthly depreciation
  • Completion of month end accruals and prepayments
  • Reconciliations and reporting
  • Review of ledgers for correctness of coding
  • Review and preparation of quarterly VAT returns
  • Financial forecasting
  • Collation of information to support R and D taxation claims
  • Assisting the Financial Controller with any further ad-hoc requirements of the business

What we are looking for…

  • Fully qualified accountant
  • Experience in the professional services sector
  • Analytical, able to solve problems and make complex financial information comprehensible
  • Proficient with Excel including current formula functions
  • Energetic, motivated, and able to use their own initiative
  • Able to pick up new processes and gain a good understanding at speed
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Organised and able to prioritise workload to meet deadlines
  • Excellent with your communication skills
  • Flexible with a positive attitude
  • Able to work independently
